This is a true Chinese jasmine tea, flavored with extract of the flowers run through the leaves several times. The more times they run the flavor through the leaves the stronger the flavor and the greater the cost. This is a medium end tea. For next time, I got the high end with is more expensive but worth the pleasure and deep flavor.When I was young, I had a Chinese girl friend and often ate at her house. Her mother made jasmine tea with flowers floating in it, brewed in a quart jar. I decided I wanted to find something like that and tried a wide variety of jasmine teas. Even the organic brands, however, have what is called "natural jasmine flavor" infused into the tea and by law it can (and seems to be) made in a lab. Some of the better teas had white leaves floating around to make them look like flowers but upon closer inspection, they turned out to be just leaves. This tea has real flower swirling around. Eat them and enjoy.The one problem you have to plan for is that it comes from China in a vacuum package which takes a couple of months to travel. So order well in advance. On the plus side, a pound lasts a long time because the tea has a lot of flavor and you don't use a lot of leaves. I loved it to much I ordered the more expensive type with 9 jasmine infusions and it just came. I can't wait to try it.
