The pot is solid and sturdy, with heat proof handles which is nice. The false bottom leaves a lot to be desired. After applying the gasket to the outer edge of the grate, there is still a lot of room for grain to enter the bottom and drain out of the pot. Also, there are three threaded ports on the pot: one for the drain valve, one for the thermometer, and one for the return for the recirculating pump (which is great if I had a recirculating pump).Great quality kettle. Good thickness and add ons. The seller was quick to respond to any questions that I had, which is a plus in my book. Great purchase. I may even purchase another one down the road. Strongly recommend, I doubt you’ll find better quality for a similar price.
