We've had our Weber Q200 grill for quite some time now and our original cast iron grate had seen it's better days. It's always been difficult to get really clean and as a result it didn't get cleaned as often as it should. As it began to shed rather significant rusted chunks of itself I knew it was time to replace it - and I was hoping to find something more durable and perhaps easier to maintain.This is it! The extra cost over a standard cast iron grate is absolutely worth it. It fits exactly as it should and after a few uses I just bring it in, drop it in a sink full of soapy water and let it sit overnight. The next day a little scrubbing brings it back to like brand new again. I know we've been using our grill much more often this summer than we had been for many years and that is definitely a direct result of not having to dread the mess and trouble of trying to clean that old cast iron grate.
