Andis 66045 Professional Vibrating Curved Edge Titanium Flat Iron Hair Straightener - Perfect for Salon Styling & Home Hair Care

I gave this product 4 stars because this is my second time purchasing it. Back in 2014 I order one from this seller and it was a knock off or just a faulty product. I already have one that I bought from a mall, so I know exactly how it works. The one I bought in 2014 didn't heat up all the way and the vibrating feature didn't work. I left it on for and hour on the highest setting and it never got hot, stayed warm. The one I recently purchased in 2016 works perfectly. It heats up and the vibrating function works as well. This is a great straightener that I swear by, gets the job done well and cuts straightening time in half.This flat iron is great. It flat iron flawlessly, I have been natural for about 7 months know and I'm still trying trying to get use to not having straight hair without perms so I get blow outs every other month if I don't wash my own hair. Plus I needed a titanium flat iron that makes my hair have a shine and look nice which this does. It can make any body's hair straight with just one stroke. I love andis hair products I have a blow dryer from andis and a curling iron and they have been working great for me and I have had both a year. A must buy!I love this iron, however, I have to return one of them because it quit working after 2 weeks. We sell them like crazy at my salon, and all of my stylists use them. They get hair super smooth, and are long enough for curling. Bonus is that the end of them has a piece so that you don't burn your hands:)I was so excited to try this on my 13 year old daughter who is biracial. However I will be returning this item.Every time I tried to straighten a section of my daughters hair. I could hear little a snap and she would tell me how it was hurting her and it was pulling her hair out. I tried a couple more times just to see if it would stop, but it didn't. So I had to turn it off and go back to using our old flat iron.We have had 2 flat irons over the years. This would have been our third and I have never ran into this issue before. I am wondering if anyone else has had the same problem with this iron?I also did not like how I had to run the flat iron over her hair a bunch of times to get it flat, and smooth especially the ends.I do not recommend this item. I read the reviews and decided to give it a try. The first 3 months of rare use was great. It heated up fast when I needed to use it and my straight/wavy hair came out great quickly and I didn't have to use the vibration option. After 3 months, I plugged it in to warm up. Once I was ready to use it on my fresh hair cut, it burnt my hair and started to smoke. In all the years of straight styling, I have never burnt my hair. Now the section I began to straighten is fried and is in an area too short to cut off. ( Talk about how embarrassing to have a fried frizzy section of hair in the middle of my head. Will be researching fixes soon.) The product no longer works after it got soo hot and became smoky, not that I'd continue to use a horrible product such as this. And if you are wondering, the setting was not on the highest temperature setting but in the middle. If you are trying to decide to try this product, I do not recommend taking that risk and burning/frying your hair.My first Andis vibrating straightener lasted 5 years so I decided to buy a second one and I still love it as much as the day I bought it. Always reminded of how great of a deal these are when I use my friends' $200-300 straighteners and mine works better.This flat iron is the best I've ever had. My hair is mixed and has super fro abilities. This vibrating really does help. My hair stylist uses a vibrating straightener, and I didn't want to break the bank with the one sold in salon. This one was a great price and works just as great! I don't even have to have it on the max temp, which is usually the case.I love this straightener! The lady that cuts my hair uses this one and has never had issues! I was really skeptical when I got on Amazon and saw negative reviews... I've had mine about 2 months and have had no issues! Just bought my mom one for Mother's Day so maybe she'll leave mine alone!Bought for my wife. Very cost effective. Hopefully it works ok. Seems to be ok quality.I have been using this for a while now and very happy with it... I am not sure what the vibrating does if it makes a difference but I like that fact that it gets really hot..Very pleased with this flat iron. Love the vibrating feature.Works great, I have had no issues with it.great item
