(Photo before and after with only black coffee)Overall:Fantastic device for brewing nitro cold brew at a fraction of the local coffee shop price. Point vs point, at about 30-40 uses, this device will pay off the difference at a solid $1 average cost per cup vs the standard $4-6 cost of most coffee shops. As a first time owner of a nitro brewing device, the NitroPress is honestly fantastic especially after comparisons with over 20 other nitro brewing products in the consumer / under $200 category.Pros:-Nitro flavor is fantastic! It is sweet with no metallic tones and a wonderfully smooth mouthfeel.-Easy to take apart to clean thoroughly, easier to give a basic clean up-Simple operation with fast and fantastic results-Solid construction that feels very sturdy! It can make nitro-brew and double as a club!-Small capacity seems like a downside, but for someone who only needs one cup here and there, it's great!-Pairs wonderfully when poured into cream and holds a body and head for a long time-Incredibly easy to use (This is my first nitro device and it's crazy simple!)-Device is small enough for easy portability whereas kegs and other devices are a bit too bulkyCons:-Pour spout houses liquid that can fling around if shaken between pours(Simple to rectify by not shaking between pours)-Pour spout had a clump of grease to dislodge which was easy with a quick burst of air blown through the tube (via mouth)(The device info packet suggests an in depth deep clean before the first use which stopped this from being a problem!)-Item weight is a bit high with included liquid which could pose problems for those without the capability to shake it for the recommended 2 minutes. (Kegs are no different!)Post Stated Comments:I have yet to try this on liquids other than water and coffee, but I plan to!I now make my own cold brew fufu coffee complete with my favorite oat milk brown sugar creamer! I have to go to decaf because I like the flavor so much!I saw this at my local coffee shop in Seattle and researched the whole nitro thing, which was intriguing.Firstly, there needs to be some clarity. N2 is not the same as N20, Pure Nitrogen (N2) is what makes this infusion method interesting. That's NOT what a cream whipper does, a cream whipper uses a different Nitro Gas (N20). I make coffee using both and see the image to look at the visual difference, I mean its pretty obvious which coffee is worth drinking.Ok so hopefully that clears up the confusion I'm seeing in these reviews. This is a machine for coffee enthusiasts, so I'd like to be factually correct.Anyway, I got this because I like the creamy texture that I can add to my home brew without calories. Especially when I tried doing the Keto diet, every calorie counts. My gf drinks dairy free and it works for us. You know what they say, happy coffee, happy rest of your day.We love this item but were initially not sure it would work because the threads on the nozzle tip don't line up properly so it's crooked when attached. So far it's working fine and making delicious nitro...but we're still on our first box of canisters so time will tell!I think it's a solid product, but not worth the $140 dollars. Each nitro capsule is an additional cost on top of that. Great to use at parties, but I think it's a bit hard pressed to see this being used on an everyday basis. It functions great, but overall, kind of not what I expected for the cost.Made a cold brew + cream concoction, it turned out to just feel like a cold brew that was lighter in color, which I think is the expected result. Very well branded, and came in a very nice gift-able bag.High quality. Instructions fail to mention important details: your cold brew coffee needs to be COLD! Room temperature will NOT work well. Instructions say to shake the container after charging it with the nitrogen, but they don’t say how long or how vigorously to shake it, or how the agitation affects the characteristics of the dispensed beverage. They say to “experiment.” I didn’t order this device to experiment. I want nitro cold brew, and there is no good reason for omitting important, field-tested details in the instructions. It will make excellent nitrogen cold brew, but you might have to figure it out for yourself.Initially bought this in hopes of winding back my purchases of Nitro Cold Brew at Starbucks. It scratches that itch, however something is missing between what I'm making and what they're making. the look of the drink is a little different in that there's much more bubbles in mine. The packaging is well made, and mine came without issues. but after a few brews, I ran into a pressure issue, the pressure provided by the nitro canister was not enough to push out the drink through the dispenser hose. This was fixed with by cleaning/soaking the hose in warm water for a little bit. This product is made very well, and produces a very nice nitro-brew. In terms of quality, I definitely recommend. Just keep in mind that the N2 cartridges are a "once and done" deal. In other words, the N2 cartridge is completely dispensed into the liquid in the container, which generally equates to two servings. At a cost of at least $1 per cartridge, that's an additional 50 cents per serving for the nitro. Still WAY CHEAPER than Starbucks or the local coffee shop, so for me it's worth it, but it's probably important to know that before you buy.Do you enjoy coffee ? Let me answer that for you, nope you don’t even know what you’ve missed.Unless you just like black with nothing else in it, this is for you. Take your favourite coffee, infuse the N2 Nitrogen (not the cheesy cream whipper N2O fluff) and try your coffee. No Milk, No Calories, and Frothy Smooth texture.I bought this because I was buying cans of Nitro Cold Brews (I still love you Crude & Sandows). Then I saw this and tried it out. I can now make coffee Nitro at home. Look how nicely it fits in my fridge. The packaging is beautiful and so nice you would think someone sent you a gift.I bought this for my small hotel and bar to do cold brew nitro coffee and it does everything it says it will, producing a smooth creamy nitro coffee and with pleasing results ... easy to clean and smart looking beautifully packaged for a present for a coffee or cocktail lover. I shall be experimenting with nitro cocktails and trying the soda cartridges next. Highly recommended.Fabulous design, sleek and professional looking. Gas refills are a bit expensive.Cleans well. Makes fabulous velvety smooth iced coffeeNice product, easy to hold, put together and use. Makes a great cold brew latte!
