I have quite a few pair of Iron Fist shoes and these are the first that I have ever been a little disappointed in. These are meant to look like haircalf. Iron Fist uses only manmade/vegan materials so the "hair" feels really rough and stiff and has an unnatural shine to it. Basically it just looks cheap. I wasn't a huge fan of the poka dot bow either. It was made of a canvas type material and just did not seem to match the texture and color of the boot. This was an easy fix though as the bow was only looped through the boot laces so it was easily removed. The style of the boot itself I liked. It fits well and feels quite comfortable. I like that they have a side zip as well as a lace of front which makes getting them on and off much easier. The heel is roughly about 4 1/2 inches with a 1 1/2 inch platform. There was good ankle support. Looking at these in the mirror from a distance they don't look as bad as they do up close (and since I don't suspect that while I am wearing them anyone will be looking close enough at them to see how funky the "hair" looks) I will most likely just keep them.
