But Emma has more in common with the wrong side of the law than her neighbors could possibly imagine. The Fugitive A member of the notorious Hole-in-the-wall Gang, Memphis Warren Beck is on the run from railroad detectives. When fate reunites him with a woman he never expected to see again, Beck risks his freedom—and his life—for a second chance with her. The Lawman Arizona Ranger Sam Burrack is passing through what he thinks is a peaceful town. Ranger Sam Burrack is on the trail of a gang of wanted men. He passing through the little town of Little Acres and he gets involved with a gang of men led by an ex-Confederate Captain whose employed by the railroad owners. These men were on the trail of th Hole-N-Wall gang who were hanging out in the Wyoming territory. This captain and his gang of cut throats were killing and hanging these bandits as they caught them, he had a photographer accompanying them who took pictures of the dead bandits. This gang was nothing but vigilantes wearing railroad police badges, one of the riders was a a son of the railroad owners, riding along with the killing gang.Ranger Sam Burrack and the Sheriff of Little Acres, were in the cross hairs of the Captain who felt that the Ranger was in their way, so they tried bushwacking him and the Sheriff.Lots going on, plus there's a blind Afro-American who takes care of the livery, know horses like by feel. Also his senses are acute, especially smell.Vigilantes, lost lovers, women with hidden secrets Little Aces at night hides a lot. The Ranger always reads between the lines and watches people's reactions to the surroundings.
