I use mine for hot tea.these machines do an excellent job, consistent and fast brewing.2 minutes and your pot is full.be certain to only use 1 filter so it won't overflow, fill the pot dump it in flip the lid and ur done.these usually last me about 7-8yrs.just be certain to turn off the heater in the tank when not using more than 2 days or it will break.if not in use you can run fresh water thru just to keep the tank full.run filtered water only and i have never had to clean the head.my only dislike is the pot doesn't sit automatically aligned with the filter assembly so you have to be certain the water hits the hole when brewing.i love these and hope I live long enough to buy anotherI was in the market for a new coffee maker; this one was a contender, but I saw all the negative reviews; after more research, I decided to get this one.Now that I have this and understand how it works, I will say that most (if not all) bad reviews are user errors. Here is what you need to know before you buy this machine.1) read the instructions, especially the sheet that says must read before plugging in.2) this unit needs to stay plugged in and turned on; if you are not okay with that, do not buy this machine. (weak coffee and cold coffee complaints are because of this)3) you must use Bunn filters; standard filters are not tall enough and will leak and put coffee grinds in your cup.Once you are okay with this, you will have the best hot coffee fast; a full pot will take about 4 minutes.Best coffee flavor yet. This is my 3rd one of these and I keep coming back. Sure, it has some minor foibles. No pause feature but it brews so fast that you really just need a couple of minutes patience (also, I hate when someone sneaks a cup and it waters down the rest of the pot). Also, can't set it up the night before but that seems pretty minor also. It all comes down to taste and that is what this coffeemaker excels at. They usually last about 6 years and then you have to get a new one. Can't think of any more drawbacks...After my keurig quit on me after 2 years, I bought the instant pot solo, which also died literally within a week. Back to the coffee drawing board! This pot is expensive for not being programmable etc but it’s worth it. The pour over method is very simple and easy to get used to. The materials are great quality and very sturdy. This machine does not have any thin cheap plastic or wobbly pieces. It’s also cool to look at! Sort of a retro vibe while modern at the same time. If loving a coffee maker is wrong I don’t want to be right.I use a slightly heaping 1/2 cup for a full pot and the coffee is perfect. The non drip spout I was skeptical about but it actually does work and makes a difference in the ease of use. The perfect coffee maker! We've had a bunn in the past, but had to use up our gift coffee pot first. Now, back to a bunn! It works as stated. I did my review reading....THANK YOU to all who posted about the filters and the back splash of short filters. I also purchased extra large filters to avoid any unnecessay issues that others stated. I'm happy to report, NO ISSUES here, just great coffee in a couple minutes!! (I'd put a thumbs up, if I had the imogi.)This is actually my 3rd Bunn coffee maker over 15 years. I get roughly 7 1/2 years out of it. Love having a pot of coffee ready in 3 minutes. Ordered a deliming tool on a separate purchase to extend the life but it never arrived.First thing there is a learning curve involved with a a pour over coffee maker and not everyone reads the instructions beforehand. The coffee takes a few minutes to brew, by the time you empty your dishwasher the coffee will be ready each morning. This is my second Bunn pour over type and I have yet to be disappointedSo far so good. Just needed to replace our older Bunn. Came very well packaged in official Bunn boxes. I was plenty scared to order this from Amazon but am happy so far. Last one we bought was a dark color but the white color fits better in my kitchen. Because the last one we bought came with a Bunn pitcher, I gave my old pitcher away. But now have to order that separately. Made elderberry tea and it tastes better! We bought a Keurig at Christmas time thinking it would be a great machine turns out it was awful. We decided to go back to a bunn and this machine is even worst. I’m not sure what they have done but the design is terrible. The tiny pot it to small for the burner so if you don’t look underneath to make sure it’s position just right you will have coffee absolutely everywhere. The machine releases too much water too quickly there’s just not enough time to get through the coffee grinds and the filter so again it overflows if you’re not watching. You must stick around Open the lid halfway through brewing And even then you’re going to find that you have coffee grinds and coffee all over your counters. I am so disappointedPurchased this for my grandparents after their old Tim Hortons machine gave up. This is a comparable machine, but after a month it started to leak, leaving puddles of coffee on the counter. Disappointed it didn’t last long. This coffee maker is great. White was hard to find. The water comes out too fast and when I read the instructions that came with it, it says if you are using fine grind coffee you need the slow release sprayer. I called Bunn and they didn't ask any questions about where I bought it or when. She asked my address and said she will send the sprayer. Now have to wait to see if the Post Office goes on strike before I receive it.This coffee pot is 10 cups which I didn’t realize which is my fault for not reading closely. But with the speed of this machine it’s not an issue to make another pot if needed. It works well, nice design and the coffee is good:)Excellent coffee maker! A replacement for my 13 year old Bunn that was the best investment ! Tried a different maker in between for 4 months with thermos carafe and didnt care for it. Coffee wasn't hot enough and the full flavor wasn't there. So bought my second Bunn and I love it. Of course the coffee needs to be consumed within the first hr or so of making it or it becomes a burnt taste but when the machine makes coffee in 3 minutes you can have a new brew made in seconds. I make just small pots and drink them up! Will never have anything but a Bunn!!
